Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust

A Name Change

As of January 1, 2017 the Barns-Graham Charitable Trust will be known as the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust.

In the years following Wilhelmina (Willie) Barns-Graham’s death in January 2004 the Trust focussed on assisting students of art and art history, and promoting her work through exhibitions and publications, as it continues to do. These activities were extended to create artist residences and more recently the Trust finds itself working with an ever broadening range of institutions, public galleries and education organisations. All of the activities are directed under the aegis of the Barns-Graham Charitable Trust, and everything it does is on Willie’s behalf. However it became clear that the current nomenclature does not properly reflect that the Trust operates in her name. The adjusted title now makes this clear.
